About a year ago a collection of short chants came to me through prayer and meditation, each one invoking the blessing of a particular virtue. Not long after they came to me, I attended a retreat led by Cynthia Bourgeault. While I was there I shared one with a couple people and before I knew it I was being asked to share them with the whole group.
I kept my little prayer songs close to my heart for another year after that, singing them to my baby and writing about what they mean. Now I am feeling ready to share them with the world in a more formal way and my dear friend Heather Blair is going to help me teach them to you. You are welcome to join us the last Sunday of Lent, April 13 2025. The retreat will take place in two sessions, with a half hour break in the middle, from 12:00-3:30 pm ET.
Our time together will take the form of a liturgy with prayers, candles, scripture readings, and all the trimmings. I will also lead the group in an immersive inner journey, incorporating Celtic myth alongside Christian symbolism, exploring the spiritual landscape of Eden. Once there, we will find the rivers of living water flowing out from a single point of untouchable stillness, clearing away whatever obstructs the free flow of Spirit within our hearts.
