The Contemplative Library is a Facebook group where various contemplative and/or Celtic Christian writers, podcasters, and video makers can share their content. The group is set up to be a resource center rather than a community. While people can comment on the posts made and some lively discussions often arise, only posts which are links to the types of resources mentioned above are approved by our admin team.
The idea behind this is to create a space on social media where people can find good reading materials without having to wade through memes, trolls, rants, and all the other distracting things so regularly present in Facebook. If a person joins the group they are intentionally inviting contemplative reading materials into their newsfeed and we respect that by not allowing any other posts to be made.
We would like to invite you to share your content as well. There is nothing you need to do other than join the group and drop your content. You are welcome to engage with people in the comments as time allows but our moderators are usually pretty good at getting discussions going. The group is public so that people can easily share the resources they find there and for those of us who use the space regularly it is a consistent source of traffic to our websites.
When you share the link to your content copy and pasting the best paragraph or quote from what you’re sharing is usually the best way to grab people’s attention, but you are welcome to introduce your work however you see fit. You are welcome, and even encouraged, to share old content as well as new. Re-sharing your best content from days gone by is a great way to get people interested in your writing.
At New Eden Ministry we believe that cooperation is the key to success and we want to support you and the work you do. If there is anything you need do not hesitate to reach out to any of our moderators or admins on Facebook or to email Justin directly at firstname.lastname@example.org
