Mighty Lord the child,
Be born in me today.
Who came to Mary mild,
In her womb you chose to stay.
May my soul be an empty stable
and not a busy inn.
May all you are come to my heart
and dwell sweetly there within.

Lord, thou hast given us thy Word for a light to shine upon our path;
grant us so to meditate on that Word, and to follow its teaching,
